We are a student body that aims at increasing the awareness of Quantitative Finance as a viable career option amongst the student community at IIT Kharagpur.
Investopedia describes Quants as the Rocket Scientists of Wall Street. The nature of work Quants do, require a unique blend of mathematics, finance and computer skills.
Apart from fostering a permanent Quantitative Finance
culture in IIT
Kharagpur, we also design and implement our own proprietary models that may be used by financial firms to price and trade securities.
Our motivation in doing so is the immense learning that comes with designing and implementing
such a
trading system, and the fact that being able to do so will help the members of Quant Club develop industry relevant skills and become top notch Quants in the longer run.
In the future, we will be sharing informative posts revolving around the world of stock markets, economy and trading along with any news/updates by the Club.
